Welcome Jen O’Connell: Wings Music Group’s New Head of Publishing Admin & Rights Management
We’re delighted to announce that Jen O’Connell will be joining Wings Music Group in January 2025 to lead our brand new Publishing Admin & Rights Management division!
In this vital role, Jen will help our artists navigate the complexities of global music rights, ensuring that every penny their music earns around the world finds its way back to them — empowering them to keep creating and thriving.
Jen joins us from BMG, bringing with her an incredible 27 years of music industry experience. Her career spans collection societies, major and independent music publishers, and roles across copyright, royalties, and licensing. She has previously served on the board of the MPA and as Director and Chair of CMPA Europe, championing the profile of Christian Music Publishers within the wider industry. Before that, she was the General Manager of Beggars Music, the publishing arm of Beggars Group, where she oversaw global administration and supported artists like Sampha and Glass Animals early in their careers.
Chris Lawson Jones, Founder & CEO of Wings Music Group, shared:
"Independent music is the future, and artists are learning what it means to be rights holders. I am so happy Jen is joining us, as our artists will benefit hugely from her expertise and experience when it comes to maximising their revenue."
Jen O’Connell added:
"I’m delighted to be joining Wings to develop the Publishing and Neighbouring Rights side of the business as we work to evolve the Christian Music Industry by offering modern deal structures and a personalised service."
We’re excited about the future, and even more excited to have Jen on board as we continue building the best possible support system for independent artists.
Into the future we go!
